WHAT IS GOOD FRIDAY?
It may be difficult to imagine how anyone could call this day good: the innocent Son of God betrayed, accused, beaten, crucified, and died. Hymns and readings and moments will bring us -- perhaps uncomfortably -- to the reality that it was our sin & rebellion that put Jesus on the cross. And yet, we know His sufferings work out for our good, for by His wounds, we are healed.
Good Friday is a different kind of worship experience, and that's on purpose.
