Worship - Fall 2021

We believe that worshipping together in-person is a primary component of healthy discipleship for followers of Jesus!  For Fall 2021, we will continue with a condensed schedule of just one service, plus our Discipleship Hour at 9am:

9:00am - Discipleship Hour (learn more here) 

10:00am - Our regular Modern service with livestream available
 * SPW Kids occurs during our 10am service (Preschool - 6th grade)

Mask Policy - Westport has activated a town-wide mask mandate.  We are committed to honoring our civic leaders and one another during this season.  Therefore, all people will wear masks during our worship gatherings.

SPW Kids - Fun, age-appropriate, curriculum-based programming for kids (Preschool - Grade 6) during our 10am service.  Children will start off in the service for about 15 minutes.  At that time, they will be dismissed and walk with our Director of Family Ministry to the Fellowship Hall for an approximately 40-minute period.  They'll be walked into the worship center and to their parents at the time of the Lord's Supper. 

Personal Contact - We do not put any expectation on our guests to touch another person, such as a handshake or hug.  We recognize that we're all a bit trigger shy in jumping back into a contact world, and we are committed to moving slowly to help people feel comfortable.  Warning: we'll still love you, even if we can't touch you!

Communion - Upon entering the worship center/sanctuary, each communing person will take a pre-packaged Communion set (bread and grape juice or wine).  At the time of Communing, the pastor will lead each person to do so from their seats.  No one will come forward to the altar.  At the end of the service, we ask you to kindly bring your disposable wrapper with you and toss in the trash can as you exit.

Giving – Offering baskets will be set in the rear of the worship center at the end of the service.  You may put your offering in the basket as you exit.  Online giving is a permanent feature of SPW.
