WHAT TO EXPECT ON SUNDAY

Welcome to St. Paul Westport! We’re so glad you’re here and hope you’ll join us soon for worship. We know visiting a church for the first time can feel intimidating, so here’s a quick look at what to expect.
Service Time

We gather every Sunday at 10:00 AM for about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Our worship

Each week, we join together in practices that have shaped the Christian church for over 2,000 years

  • Singing songs that are both ancient and modern.
  • Praying—together and individually—for our world, our church, and our lives.
  • Reciting the Lord’s Prayer and the Apostles’ Creed, reminding us that we belong to something much larger than ourselves.
  • Giving our financial resources as an act of worship and gratitude.
  • Hearing God’s Word read aloud and preached, trusting the Holy Spirit to shape and transform us.
  • Confessing our sins and receiving God’s forgiveness through the work of Jesus Christ.
  • Sharing Communion at the Lord’s Table, receiving the true body and blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins.

We close our service with a blessing, as we are sent out to serve faithfully in our unique callings.

Kids at SPW

Children are always welcome in worship! Nursery care is available for ages 6 months–3 years. SPW Kids (Pre-K–6th grade) are dismissed after the opening songs for a time of age-appropriate teaching and activities, returning to the sanctuary before Communion.

After the service

Stick around! We continue in community over coffee, bagels, and treats—a great time to meet people and share life together.
We’d love to know you’re coming—fill out a Connect Card so we can welcome you personally.
