Brad Knorr
Senior Pastor
As a child growing up in Nebraska, I lived the dream. We lived on a farm and worked hard; my family was incredibly close; and the Huskers were winning championships. Just like God wrote the story!
I studied at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and majored in finance, economics and sports fandom (no credit on that last one). It was during my time there that the Lord really began stirring my heart for Him, and I started owning my relationship with Jesus.
After college, I moved to Kansas City to work in the finance field, cheer on the Royals and the Chiefs, and eat KC BBQ. I put my heart into all three and had two incredible years there. During my time in KC, I sensed the Lord calling me into an entirely different vocation: becoming a pastor. That was one of the hardest transitions I ever made and truly felt it was my biggest ‘surrender’ moment to date.
Surrendered and excited about God’s future for me, I went to seminary at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. My biggest accomplishment at seminary was meeting Andrea and marrying her. After graduating with a Masters in Divinity in 2006, we set course for King of Kings Church in Omaha, NE where I became its Youth Pastor. We had an incredible 11 years at King of Kings Omaha and grew in so many ways in the Lord in that season in our lives. We accepted the call to St. Paul in Westport in the Fall of 2017, sensing that God was leading our family on a grand new adventure.
My wife Andrea and I have been married 19 years. Andrea, originally from Little Rock, AR, has worked as both a stay-at-home mom as well as an elementary school teacher. Our children are Nate (high school), Jilly (middle school) & Laurel (elementary). We love family time, movie nights, hiking and playing games together. We are excited to see God’s Kingdom come in Westport!
